Getting to Buffalo Field Campaign Headquarters
West Yellowstone | Gardiner | Maps

New: The Salt Lake Express is a shuttle which ranges from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone and back. Many more options for travel as well to get to West Yellowstone, check out there website! www.SaltLakeExpress.com

The nearest and most convenient airport to West Yellowstone is in Bozeman. This is a 90 mile drive on some pretty snowy roads. Please contact us before you make your plans so that we can coordinate rides with others who might be coming in at the same time. Make your arrival and departure plans with our volunteer coordinator so they can coincide with our weekly supply runs to Bozeman.

Greyhound does not service West Yellowstone. The closest Greyhound stop is Bozeman, MT. As noted above, please make your arrival plans with our volunteer coordinator.

Amtrak doesn't come close to here- the nearest is Havre, MT, Whitefish, MT or Salt Lake City, Utah. It's a long bus ride from these places.

Driving- (Check the Montana Road Report) If driving here in the winter please allow yourself sufficient time, and remember, the mountain passes are often hazardous. Make sure you have good tires, snow tires or chains. Remember, all through roads in Yellowstone are closed to cars, except Rte 191, which goes along the western park boundary. Please call ahead so we will know when to expect you.
