true-the mercury hovered around 50 below in West Yellowstone,
Montana on January 13th. But, just like any other day,
Buffalo Field Campaign staff and volunteers were on
the job-monitoring, documenting, educating, and advocating
for America's last free-roaming, wild bison.
Why do we do it? That's simple: It's the right thing
to do for this majestic American icon. You've told us
so over and over with your generous and good-hearted
moral and financial support. How can we ever adequately
say thank you?
We'll start with this heart-felt pledge: BFC will continue
working to end the persecution and slaughter of Yellowstone's
wild bison; we'll continue our relentless effort toward
the protection and habitat necessary to welcome them
home to Montana.
Next, a thank you offer: We'll send a buffalo-themed
valentine to the recipient(s) of your choice for a donation
at one of two levels. Our smaller cards are copies of
a hand-drawn original; each card is hand-colored and
embellished. Our larger cards feature a photo of Yellowstone
bison; each card is hand-assembled with colorful specialty
paper. Both cards contain a brief explanation of BFC's
work, plus the sentiment, which reads:
A gift has been made in your honor by
for the love of wild bison.
Happy Valentine's Day!
"Nature never did betray
The heart that loved her…" Wordsworth
Our cards are appropriate for all relationships, male
or female; added bonus: They reveal YOU to be a person
of compassion and creativity! (Why enrich the candy
and floral industries when you can work for wild bison?)
2007 is the second year for this popular fundraiser;
since hand-produced endeavors require time, we ask that
you order NOW.
We'll time the mailing of your card to arrive by February
