6/25/14 DOL Trespass
Montana Department of Livestock (MDOL) agents trespass on a local landowner's property. Landowner Ed Ryberg shows the MDOL agent a letter from Governor Bullock stating that it is illegal for the agency to come onto his property against his wishes. The agent ignores his request and trespasses, trying to move the buffalo. The buffalo have other ideas and will not move. The landowners again tell the agent to leave the property and, finally, he does without the buffalo. The MDOL agent never shows any proof of his supposed right to trespass.

With spring comes the buffalo with their new generation, both in belly and on hoof, outside of Yellowstone Park and into their native Montana. These buffalo families have come home to the lands their families have always roamed, seeking the green grasses of new life. In their path are great challenges: a busy highway and the injustice of zero tolerance across human made lines. Watch Buffalo Field Campaign patrols take you on the buffalo journey of the beginning of spring migration. We bear witness, documenting government actions against the buffalo and advocating for their protection. Your federal tax dollars paid for this abuse of America's last wild buffalo - so you have a voice to help stop it.

41 Resisters: Wild Buffalo Migration Memory Can't Be Killed
On Friday, April 12, 2012 the Montana Dept. of Livestock found out about a wild bull bison that had migrated deeper into his ancestral lands, but out of Montana's "tolerance zone." They killed him, trying to kill the buffalo's migratory memory. Two days later, forty-one buffalo caught his scent trail, and after being harassed by the government, they headed up towards Dome Mountain where the bull was shot. No bullets can erase this ancestral memory.
