Letter:
That letter was meant to be a joke, wasn't it?
Bozeman Daily Chronicle

You
guys, that was really funny. Or was it? Please tell me
Jay Moor's broad-brush portrayal of ranchers as sinister,
corrupt lobbyists gratuitously blowing holes in wolves
and his compassionate request that all of Montana's bovine
engineers disband posthaste and retire or find work elsewhere
was a joke, right?
It was just a mix up with that zany
online periodical, The Onion, wasn't it? It was supposed
to be published online next to the "Pope Mistakenly
Washes Shroud of Turin with Red Shirt" story they
ran last week, right? Please, tell me it was. Or was it
part of the man on the street opinion poll? Think it through,
what if they honor your request, sell the ranch and retire?
They may sell it to someone who's not on your approved
list of purchasers. What then? Instead of the free roaming
bison you desire, you might get free roaming stripmalls
instead.
