Buffalo Field Campaign’s Sacred Buffalo Exhibit
Buffalo Field Campaign’s Sacred Buffalo exhibit features a mural of the native habitat and the struggles Yellowstone’s wild buffalo face today, including rapid climate change and limited habitat to roam. Through her own words, BFC co-founder Rosalie Little Thunder tells of her tribe’s connection to the sacred buffalo. A photographic collage connects a sacred species, our National Mammal, to present day threats to the Yellowstone buffalo’s existence in the wild. Visitors will learn more about the plight and indigenous connection to the sacred Yellowstone buffalo herds through our displays and in viewing BFC’s video clips.
The museum’s taxidermized buffalo will also be on site.
