What a great way to celebrate National Bison Day!

On November 4 & 5, Buffalo Field Campaign will be hosting a historic Tribal Buffalo Summit at the Shoshone Casino & Hotal in Fort Hall, Idaho.  We have invited 29 tribes with rights to Yellowstone National Park to discuss tribal co-management of the Yellowstone buffalo. *The summit is by invitation only and not open to the public.

The agenda includes:

  • Presentation from each tribe. Tribal cultural historians will present their tribe’s unique relationship with the sacred bison.
  • Crafting a framework for tribal co-stewardship and implementation on the ground, within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
